Pax Autocratica is single-player now. The current Steam feature list does not offer multiplayer.
What is confirmed
The 10 August Early Access roadmap lists Online Co-op as planned. Steam’s FAQ calls co-op an important feature the team hopes to develop during Early Access, while the fact sheet says “post Early Access.”
What is unknown
No player count, shared-colony rules, drop-in/out, PvP, cross-play, save structure or release window has been announced. The source timing differs, so this site does not promise a phase.

Watch the official Steam news archive. AI squad combat screenshots show the present single-player game and must not be mistaken for online play.
